Dr. Xuefeng Li is a recent Ph.D. graduate of the Optical Science and Engineering (OSE) Program and did his work in the research group of Prof. Daniel Feezell. Dr. Li’s dissertation, “Carrier Dynamics in Green III-Nitride LEDs Using Small-Signal Electroluminescence,” received distinction. Dr. Li’s work helped to elucidate the fundamental causes of low efficiency in green LEDs and will impact the development of more efficient solid-state lighting and micro-LED-based displays. Dr. Li maintained a 3.92 GPA and published three first-author journal articles and contributed to eight conference presentations. Congratulations to Dr. Xuefeng Li!
The Outstanding Interdisciplinary Graduate Programs Award
The Outstanding Interdisciplinary Graduate Programs Award was initiated in 2023 to honor a student enrolled in one of our interdisciplinary programs, which are the Biomedical Engineering Program, the Optical Science and Engineering Program and the Nanoscience and Microsystems Engineering Program. These programs are jointly administered by the School of Engineering and the College of Arts and Sciences.
