Consistent with its strong funding record, research conducted by CHTM faculty and students has steadily generated a wealth of peer-reviewed articles (recently averaging about 85 per year). Many are recognized by the technical community as seminal contributions to the field. CHTM contributes to a broad range of topics including metamaterials, semiconductor materials, LEDs, lasers, nonlinear optics, detectors, algorithms for infrared imaging and more.
