STEMY Winners Announced

Congratulations are in order! Stefi Weisburd, Education and Outreach Manager with UNM's School of Engineering and  CHTM staff member, has won the 2020 STEMY Mentor award for her efforts in coordinating outreach events in the state. 

The Excellence in STEM, aka the STEMYS, is an annual award hosted by the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) that honors students, teachers, volunteers and other New Mexicans doing great things in science, technology, engineering and math education. 

Stefi's outreach efforts reach from elementary aged school children all the way up to high schoolers. She often works with CHTM faculty and helps place high school volunteers to get a taste of STEM and research.
