Two Tenure-Track/Tenured Faculty Positions at the Center for High Technology Materials
The Center for High Technology Materials (CHTM) at the University of New Mexico (UNM) invites applications for two faculty positions beginning August 2019. We seek innovative and collaborative researchers and educators in all areas of materials science and engineering. The first position is for a tenure-track/tenured faculty position at the rank of assistant, associate, or full professor; we are mainly interested in applicants with expertise in silicon photonics, high-speed optoelectronics, quantum information processing, detection and imaging systems, and theoretical/computational materials science. The second position is for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of assistant professor; we are mainly interested in applicants with expertise in complex-oxide semiconductors, nanometer scale semiconductors, quantum materials, 2D materials, and metamaterials. We encourage applicants at the rank of assistant professor who see a fit in both positions to apply to both. CHTM is an internationally recognized center of excellence in optoelectronics, optics, materials science, and microelectronics (http://www.chtm.unm.edu). The successful applicant will receive a tenure-track or tenured appointment in a department in the School of Engineering or College of Arts and Sciences. Complete information about the position and how to apply can be found at https://hr.unm.edu/unmjobs, requisition number Req6338 and Req6342. Applications received by January 1st, 2019 will receive full consideration. The University of New Mexico is committed to hiring and retaining a diverse workforce.
