Summer Research Internship Opportunities at CHTM

The Nanooptics group at the University of New Mexico (UNM) is looking for high school students and high school science teacher interested in summer research internship that is funded by the US National Science Foundation (NSF). The research projects are focused on energy and charge transfer processes using molecular and semiconductor systems that are relevant for solar cell and photocatalysis applications. The interns will have the opportunity to gain experiences in applying modern microscopy and spectroscopy for characterizing optical and electronic materials by working with graduate students and postdoc, and are expected to work for eight hours a day for two months (June and July). The interns will also present their findings during the regular weekly group meetings and a final poster or PowerPoint presentation is required.
